BALI: A DREAM DESTINATION FOR EVERY TRAVELLER

Bali, the pearl of Indonesia, a tropical paradise that combines dream beaches, vibrant culture and natural adventures 🌿. From the serenity of Ubud to the exciting life in Kuta, every corner of Bali promises a unique experience.🌟

Nusa Penida: A Showcase of Natural Beauty

Without a doubt the best place in Bali. Known for its spectacular cliffs and ocean views. Don't miss places like Kelingking Beach, Angel's Billabong and Broken Beach.

To get to Nusa Penida you have to take a ferry. Most tours offer the entire tour included, but if you prefer to go on your own, you will need to purchase tickets in advance.

Additionally, it is important to have a vehicle to transport you around the island. Many people rent motorcycles, but you should keep in mind that the rains are considerable and the roads become dangerous.

    • Crystal Bay: One of the places we liked the most, it is a good idea to snorkel because the water is very clear, it has rich marine life and the sea tends to be very calm, perfect for beginners.
    • Diamond beach: Another place that has calm waters and stunning views for a day of relaxation.

Ubud: The Cultural Heart of Bali

Visit the sacred Monkey Forest: where you can walk among ancient temples 🏯 surrounded by leafy trees and playful monkeys 🙈. Inside the sanctuary there are more than 700 monkeys. You can observe the monkeys up close in their natural habitat, but be careful, there are always incidents because they really like to steal things. If you want to take the famous selfie with the monkeys, you must go to the people in charge and make a small donation.

Tegallalang rice fields: near to Ubud, offer a picturesque landscape ideal for photography lovers 📷. They are a perfect example of the traditional technique of rice cultivation in Bali 🌾. The rice fields are one of the things we enjoyed the most on our trip to Bali, we loved the views. 🌏

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to try the famous Kopi Luwako civet coffee. It is one of the most expensive coffees in the world ☕, but in Bali it is at an affordable price that is worth trying.

You can also make the famous swing video with the rice fields in the background. You can rent the dress or wear your own if you wish. The experience is very nice.

Kuta: Sun, Beach and Fun

Known for its vibrant nights and excellent waves for surfing 🏄‍♂️, Kuta is the perfect place for those seeking fun and adventure. Enjoy its extensive beaches and immerse yourself in its lively nightlife.

If you like to party, this is one of the best places 💃. It is very close to the markets where you can find typical Indonesian fabrics and has quite an atmosphere throughout the day.

If you need it, there are a lot of stores that wash and dry your clothes, they charge you per kilo of clothes. Kuta's beaches are ideal for taking surfing lessons.

At some times of the year you may find the beaches not so clean, this is the negative point ☹️. It depends on where you are coming from, we flew from Australia 🇦🇺 and we got a package including hotel + flights + breakfast for a very reasonable price.

One of the activities you should do if you visit Bali is to visit some of its impressive temples. Here are some suggestions of our favourites

1. Pura Besakih Temple, the most important temple in Bali

Pura Besakih is the most important temple in Bali, which is why it is called the "Mother Temple". It is 900 meters high and is located on the west side of Mount Agung, where the god is believed to live. That is why it is important for us that this is one of the most respected and visited.

Pura Besakih is a complex of 23 temples, the largest of which is Pura Penataran Agung. There are 6 stages and beautiful stairs. Only Hindus can enter, but as a tourist you can see it clearly from the side courtyard.

2. Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, the most photographed temple in Bali

This temple is situated on the west side of Lake Beratan or Lake Beratan and is the most famous temple in Bali, one that you will surely have seen in photos. In fact, his image can be seen on the 50,000 Indonesian Rupiah bill. Surrounded by mountains, the two best times to visit are sunrise and sunset, the moon is spectacular and you can see temples on the calm lake.

Ulun Danu Bratan Dedicated to the goddess of water, lakes and rivers: Dewi Danu. Being located in the mountains, it is one of the gateway temples of Bali and many Balinese, especially farmers, come here to pray not to run out of water, something precious for everyone. Therefore, it is natural to hold a ceremony.

3. Lempuyang Luhur Temple and the "Gate to Heaven"

Pura Lempuyang Luhur It remains one of the most important temples. Not only that, it is one of the most visited temples in Bali and one of the 6 Sad Kahyangan Jagad or "Holy Sites of the World".

Although, if you have seen other temples in Bali, you may not be impressed by its design, its location facing Mount Agung is impressive. It's best to go first thing in the morning (especially around 7 or 8) when there are usually few clouds and the postcard view of "Heaven's Gate" and the mountains behind will take your breath away.

Perhaps you have seen photos of this place and thought that there is a lake under the door and therefore it cannot be photographed. In fact, it was only photographed because others used glass when taking photographs in the area.

This place is so popular that once you get your number, it will take you an hour or two to get there. Therefore, it is important to get up early in the morning, especially considering that Ubud is two hours away.
