We did the rafting tour through the caves and the truth is that the experience was incredible. 7. Taupo: Located on the shores of the lake of the same name, Taupo is a paradise for lovers of outdoor activities. Don't miss the impressive Huka Falls and the many water activities the lake offers.

8. Hobbiton: Embark on a journey to Middle earth with a visit to Hobbiton, the filming set of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogy. If you are a fan, this is a must see

9. Cathedral Cove: Explore this spectacular rock formation on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, accessible only by foot and famous for its natural stone arch and crystal clear waters..

It is impossible to describe how spectacular this place is, we had never been to any fjord, but the wonders we saw in Milford Sound such as hundreds of rivers falling through the mountains, impressive waterfalls, etc. We don't think they can be seen in many other places in the world. Without a doubt, if you go to the South Island and don't visit this place, you will have to return to New Zealand no matter what.

Take a cruise through the fjords to marvel at its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife.

Of course, remember to be prepared with your best waterproof clothing, because if it rains that day, you will remember us, it rains a lot.

If you are lucky, you may be able to see the famous bird called the New Zealand Kiwi, although it is very elusive to see.
